Massachusetts Invests $90 Million in Affordable Housing

With the goal of continuing to expand affordable housing options for Massachusetts families, and making the Commonwealth more prosperous and more inclusive, the Baker-Polito Administration announced an investment of more than $90 million in the development, renovation and preservation of affordable rental housing.

The administration will award funds to twenty-six projects which is expected to create or preserve 1,420 rental units, including 1,334 affordable units, across sixteen Massachusetts communities. These projects will be funded with over $31 million in state and federal low-income housing tax credits, which will generate over $218 million in equity for these projects.
